Hints

When trying to paralyze someone, the key more than anything is instantly figuring out the person's running patterns. I do not care who it is, they will make a mistake and do the same move twice in a row. Usually it is not too hard, you need to be able to cast one paralyze, MAYBE miss, and if you miss learn from your mistakes. People trying to paralyze seem to not understand that all it takes is one side step right when the spell is casted to dodge it.

So, since we have gone through the steps of explaining how to land Paralyze, lets try to understand the mechanics.

Mechanics of Paralyzing

  • I don't care if you are a warrior or a mage, get 50 magic for fast cast.
  • People if running away to the right, usually make their side step down when paralyze is casted, so aim one in front of the person and one square down, and bam he runs diagonally into the trap. If the person runs up, repeat the process with 1 right 1 up. same result.
  • If the person is running away down to the right. usually the escape move I have seemed more often than not is just one or two left sidesteps and then back down diagonally to the right. So for this, just aim 1-2 right with a good 50- ping, or if you have a worse connection, hit them on the way back down. This would be 1 away right 1 down. Either way, this one is not hard, because it seems spells are easier to hit on people running down rather than when they run up.
  • Now if someone runs away down to the left, it is just flip flopped from the above explanation. these are the moves i see most common because they are the ones most comfortable and easiest to do, so knowing this helps more than you would think. Instead of 1-2 right, just do 1 or 2 to the left. or 1 left 1 down if you think they will come back diagonally.
  • Up: Hitting paras when players run away north is the same principle as if they are running south, it just seems to me that the only shots I really ever miss are straight verticals. It's because I have to aim 1 square ahead, and you cant when someone is running up really, because of their body being in the way. so the only way I can do it without 12 ping is to hit the spot to where it is barely not on the person's head, and cast as soon as you can so you will have a chance to hit them before they get off-screen.

The last hint I can think of for para's at the moment is always aim for peoples feet and legs. its the part of the body that does not really rotate whilst dodging, so it is always centered for you. It has helped me a lot, so I hope someone will understand my explanations. Just find the pattern, and you will get the ek (Enemy Kill) ;)
